State of Texas, Office of the Governor
"As Governor of Texas, I am pleased to extend greetings to the readers of the new Happy Aging magazine. We owe much of our success - both as individuals and as a state - to senior Texans. They have helped build our communities, enhanced economic prosperity, defended our county and preserved and protected the vision of our founding fathers. By their direction and example, they have played a key role in shaping the future generations of leaders in government, business and all other facets of life in Texas. It is important that we continue to celebrate the contributions of our senior citizens by helping to improve their quality of life. This magazine will offer our seniors, as well as their children and caregivers, a wealth of lessons on relationships, spirituality, emotion and physical support, how to live a healthy lifestyle and much more. I am confident this information will prove invaluable to the health and happiness of senior Texans.
First Lady Anita Perry joins me in sending best wishes for years of success.
Sincerely,
Rick Perry
Governor

"Happy aging doesn’t mean the absence of physical or mental impairment. Happy aging means living with dignity, love and care. Old age should be as enjoyable as any other season of human life. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed by everyone - caregivers, professionals and policymakers. We need to realize how we want to live in our old age and ensure the same for those that are already experiencing it.” Daniela Simmons, Editor-of-Chief, Happy Aging! Magazine

The magazine focuses on aging and society and is for seniors, their families and friends, professionals, and policymakers. The magazine has an ISSN (International Standard Serial Number), the advantage of which is accurate citing of articles by scholars, researchers, abstracters, and librarians.
