AIHRA is an organization concerned with group and organizational behavior in the field of elderly care; the interactions between the providers of care and the elderly; and the ethical aspects of the social status of the people in old age.
AIHRA offers educational modules for formal and informal caregivers of elderly people focused on developing sensitivity about the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of daily life in old age; the importance of knowing the specific aspects of the background, habits and preferences of elderly people; and the need for innovation and improvement in providing care for seniors.
AIHRA is creating and developing educational programs to help professionals learn about group, organizational and social dynamics; the exercise of authority and power; the interplay between tradition, innovation and change; and the relationship of organizations to their social, political and economic environments.
AIHRA is creating and developing cognitive and social programs for elderly people with various interests and capability - from the high-functioning to the elderly with Alzheimer’s or other disabilities.
AIHRA is engaged in educational, research, and consultancy work in the social sciences and applied gerontology.
AIHRA’s clients are organizations providing long-term care, hospice, home-health care and other health and social services; professionals in the field of gerontology and mental health; as well as non-professional caregivers providing care for family members at home.
AIHRA has its own publishing house, and edits the “Happy Aging” Magazine.
